2017/2018 Post UTME Form is out.

2017/2018 Admission Screening

This is to inform the general public that registration for the Post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, shall commence on Monday, 28th August and end on Monday, September 11th, 2017.
Interested candidates who made FUNAI their first choice institution in their application for admission in the 2017/2018 UTME, who scored 180 and above are hereby informed that the University’s Post-UTME Screening exercise for the under-listed programmes is scheduled to hold as follows:

MODE OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
Eligible candidates are required to pay a fee of N2, 000 only. To register, follow the steps outlined below:
  1. Visit the University website: www.funai.edu.ng,
  2. Click on the QUICK LINKS or ADMISSION Menu items.
  3. Click on 2017/2018 Admission Screening Application sub-menu item
  4. Enter your “JAMB Registration Number”
  5. Select your payment mode (Generate Remita Retrieval Reference Number).
  6. Proceed to any bank for your payment with your Remita number.
  7. Return to the Application page and enter your “JAMB Registration Number” again.
  8. Proceed with the completion of the form.
  9. Upload CLEAR COPIES of 2017 UTME Result, O’ Level results, Birth Certificate, and Local Government Identification.
  10. Confirm your entries.
  11. Submit your application.
  12. Print out your acknowledgement slip,
  13. And come with it for the Post-UTME Test.

TEST REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to come with the following items:
  1. Registration print-out acknowledgement slip from the University website
  2. 2017/2018 Original UTME Result slip (not photocopy) showing
candidate’s picture and score

FUNAI ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE 2016/2017 ADMISSIONS SCREENING EXERCISE

This announcement is for the benefit of all candidates who chose Federal University Ndufu-Alike,Ikwo (FUNAI) AS THEIR FIRST CHOICE INSTITUTION IN THE 2016 University Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) AND SCORED 180 AND ABOVE.
1. Online registration commences on Monday 19 September and ends on Monday 10th October, 2016. Those who fail to register within the period WILL NOT be screened.
To APPLY, follow the steps outlined below:
Visit the University website: www.funai.edu.ng, Select News , Click on
Advertisement for the 2016/2017 Admissions Screening Exercise
Click on “Prospective Students”
Click on “Click to Apply” under 2016/2017 Admission Screening Application
Enter your “JAMB Registration Number”
Select your payment mode (Generate Remita Retrieval Reference Number to pay at any bank or simply pay with your bank ATM card).
Proceed to any bank for your payment with your Remita.
Return to the Application page and enter your “JAMB Registration Number” again.
Proceed with the completion of the form.
Upload CLEAR COPIES of 2016 UTME Result, O’Level results, Birth Certificate, and Local Government Identification.
Confirm your entries.
Submit your application.
Print out your acknowledgement slip.
Await the announcement from the University.
2. Eligible candidates would be required to pay a processing fee of TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED NAIRA (N2,500:00) only
NOTE:
1. You must enter a valid mobile phone number and/or e-mail address for future communications.
2. Any candidate who fails to successfully submit his screening application online would automatically lose his/her chance of being considered for admission.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Prospective candidates who scored 180 and above and did not choose Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (FUNAI) as their choice of university can apply to study any of the University’s newly approved programmes.

FUNAI FIRST CHANCELLOR

The Federal University, Ndufu-Alike,
Ikwo, FUNAI, has formally installed
her pioneer Chancellor, His Royal
Majesty, Oba Aremu Gbadebo, the
Alake of Egbaland.
The installation ceremony which was
performed by the representative of
President Muhammad Buhari,
Professor Akaneren Essien also
featured the 4 matriculation
ceremony of the new intakes and a
Festschrift in honour of the Pioneer
Vice Chancellor, Distinguished
Professor O. Ibidapo-Obe whose
five-year tenure ends next month.
Oba Gbadebo in his acceptance
speech, thanked the President for
finding him worthy of the office and
promised to use his network of
connections to advance the cause of
the young University.
The traditional ruler expressed
satisfaction with the rapid growth of
the University under the leadership
of Distinguished Professor Ibidapo-
Obe and counselled the students to
remain focused, disciplined, obedient
and dedicated to their studies in
order to reach the desired height in
the society.
Oba Gbadebo expressed satisfaction
with the fast pace of growth of
FUNAI when compared to its
contemporaries and attributed it to
the doggedness of the Vice
Chancellor and the University
authorities in the discharge of their
responsibilities and the quality of
staff they have recruited to help
them in achieving the vision of the

A FUNAI 200 LEVEL STUDENT SLUMS AND DIES.

Okafor Patrick was reported dead at the early hours of today 16th Dec. 2015. Patrick a 200 Level Chemistry student in the Department of Chemistry/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Faculty of Science and technology was awake at the early hours of about 5pm reading in preparation for his mid-semester examination. He was reported to be among the leading students in his department academically. Eye witness says he slummed and was rushed to the school clinic but all efforts made by the medical personnel  as well as the Federal Medical Centre, Abakaliki, to save his life proved abortive.
The University is set to investigate over the cause of his death and as well avoiding a repetition of such incident. 
The Vice-Chancelor on behalf of the school Senate, directed a postponement of the days examinations to the next day in honour of his death.
The news has left everyone in FUNAI community in disarray, including staffs and students who knew Patrick as a gentle guy.
Winnie Doe, a Funai student on her touching facebook post said  "I just wish this is a dream that I can wake up from..adieu".
Patrick is no more. His sun has set in the morning.
May his calm and gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
